“I found myself opening up to you on issues I usually don't reveal on a first meeting. The beauty of the matter is that sensitive issues like "how much I earn or how much I save" were not brought up at all. It's all about the big picture. In essence, the answers may be there all the time, but you are exactly what most of us need, to bring about financial awareness. Finance has always been a black hole to many, but with you around, life can be much more wonderful and simpler! I just love this holistic approach of yours. ~Prudence~” |

Thank you Carol. You have planted a lot of deep thoughts in my head. Coming from a personal financial advisor and coach by listening to me, helping me to see life in a different perspective, you make me realize I have made money affected my life badly. My experience with you really fortifies me to look deeply to deal with my issue of self worth ~AL~ |

Dee graduated from qualifications which are absolute contrast from the area that she has passion in i.e. personal financial matters. Dee discovers late in life about the importance of financial planning as well as investing money in today’s world. Spending a lot of time researching her favorite topics of money, wealth and quantum physics, Dee believes that emotions as well as human psychology are the true causes of money issues. Money on its own is simply tools and symptoms of the problem or solutions. End of the day, it’s not just the personal skills she believes will help succeed in planning and managing a person’s finances, it’s also one’s own strong will to survive and prosper that will create success in life. | Why Focus on Asians? |
| |
If we are able to manage our emotions and perceptions about our lives, would we really need to spend so much money buying and consuming material goods and services?
It’s like trying to lose weight; too much exercise may not help, and for some, neither will slimming programmes. One of the better ways would be to eat moderately.
Given this, how can we feel comfortable leading purposeful lives in today’s world of consumerism, and not be caught up with material wealth or overspending for convenience and enjoyment? How do we live a life of moderation and thus avoid bad money habits?
As an Asian, I’m experiencing the effects of consumerism, and I believe my fellow Asians – readers, clients, friends, family members, neighbours – are also struggling with being financially comfortable whilst surrounded by the temptation of spending in an increasingly consumerist world.
